The pivot that is Keane and Souness is an engine room that will keep running all day and never stop pressing. Both fairly intimidating players will not let their Trequartista and other central attackers settle down to often, Giving them no time to think about those complex brilliant passes that split a defense.

The midfield battle should be interesting. The idea is to keep pressing their central attacker to throw him off his game, giving him no space to function at all.

If Kaiser finds a midfield birth, the extra running in our pivot will allow us to keep breathing down his neck not letting him have a field day in the middle of the park.

If it is Gerrard in midfield, we will look to exploit the spaces he leaves behind during his offensive runs. Rivelino will cut in to add numbers in midfield and exploit spaces created, using his creativity to full credit. This allows Maldini to unleash himself on the overlap.

Zico will be looking to overload the areas of their defense that seem even the slightest bit vulnerable. Doubling up with our attackers when possible.

Ronaldo will at times look to collect the ball a little deeper to gather momentum and dribble at their defense with pace drawing defenders towards him. Best to get in behind these drawn out defenders and utilize spaces created behind them.

Best will probably prove to be more than a match for their defenders.

The fluid attacking triad behind our striker will all have free roles. They can run riot out wide or hunt in packs down the middle but the EMPHASIS will be on WING PLAY and Doubling Up. Allowing Fullbacks to attack.

Souness will cover for Lahm when he rushes forward.

Off the ball:

We will press and press hard. Platini will have it tough in midfield as both Rivel and Zico will drop down when off the ball to strengthen our midfield, allowing souness to help fullbacks IF needed.

Rivel will press Kaiser/Gerrard (depends on who plays midfield) when he has the ball and hound him into relinquishing possession.

Nesta - Desailly represent a watertight defense in between them. Perfect in every avenue, capable of defending like lions, our midfield shall function with confidence knowing we are strong at the back.

The link up play between Zico and Ronaldo (two players made for each other in different timelines) should be something special.

We indulge in no nonsense defending, our Centerbacks remain tight on their opposing forward and smother him from receiving any service. Nesta and Desailly were masterful readers of the game and fantastic interceptors in addition to being great tacklers and superb in 1v1 situations. Their pairing with Maldini and Lahm for defensive support is something special.

Keane, when on the ball will be our engine, driving our team forward with energy and also making his legendary late runs into the box.

Added Creativity from Deep makes Zico's role more direct, he can now rely on good service from deep making his job as a Fantasista easier. he can now look for killer passes himself and unleash his dribbling and shooting skills.
