This has always been my favorite formation, and I think these players fit the bill perfectly. Augusto is the playmaker, sending passes to Torres, or to Elia and Sanchez who work as inside forwards. Gerrard is the deep lying playmaker, while Hamsik is the ball-winning midfielder. In defense, Johnson and Coentrao makes forward runs often and gets some assists on their belt.
