Manchester United Football Formation
Lineup (4-4-2)
Van Der Sar (GK) · Vidic (CB/SW) · Evans (CB) · O'Shea (RB) · Evra (LB) · De Rossi (LCM/DM) · Fletcher (RCM) · Valencia (AM-R) · Nani (AM-L) · Sneijder (RCF) · Rooney (LS)From the back forward, I feel that at the moment, our defense is solid enough. Evra and O'Shea provide coverage on the flanks and Vidic is a mountain who can easily compensate for Evans. The only reason I opted for Evans over Ferdinand is that Jonny has pace. De Rossi I think would be a great buy as he can play across the midfield and he is a threat in front of goal as well. Fletch is there as he is the best and most long-term option we have in that position.I like the wingplay United used during the Ronaldo years, though I feel that's less now, and play stems out from Scholes in central midfield as opposed through the wings the entire time. Nani and Antonio (god bless him, get well soon) are good as they are, though they need to be more intelligent as players... oh, well. I included Sneijder because I think he is one-of-a-kind and a luxury in any team. It's a shame United didn't pounce after the World Cup, or even when he was on the rebound from Real. I like the open, creative, flowing play that a playmaker allows, and I'm a little jealous that teams like Arsenal, Real and Barca have them in Fabregas, Ozil/Kaka, and Xavi. Finally, Rooney - "form is temporary, class is permament" - though he's had a bad season so far, I have a feeling he'll show us the flair he did last year and prove why he's a legend to all Mancunians.
