Starting Lineup

Players may change, but core ideas remain:
Left-footed CB that moves left (but not to side-line) in Bas/Fede
A controlling regista in Sjors/Merijn/Thom
Inverted left-back (moves centrally in-possession)
Left CM hugging left side-line when needed in Evert/Bruno

DIRECT LONG 4-3-3

Ideal LEFT build-up:
0. Core idea is LCB-LB-LCM triangle and LCM in half-space with RW target
1. 2-4-4 where LB moves to DM, LCB left-most defender
2. LCM hugs left side-line, RCM moves up, LW stays wide
3. LCM with ball out left, CF moves right, RB, CDM and RW move up
4. LCM plays either RCM, CF or LW, in that order of preference, or kantelen
5. No matter the result, the next pass should aim for RW.
RCM: 1-2 with LCM and long-pass to RW
CF: flick
LW: cross
6. LW & CF completes run into box in-case of cross/rebound,
all central midfield in rebound space

Ideal RIGHT build-up:
0. Core idea is RCB-DM-RB triangle and CF in half-space with much movement
1. 2-4-4 where LB moves to DM, LCB left-most defender
2. RCB, RB and DM forms triangle
3. RB receives ball, plays early back to RCB
4. RCM moves towards LW, CF meets ball in right half-space, LW and RW takes up central attacking space
5. CF flicks to either wing
6. RW, RCM and LW all finish run, CF and LCM stay as cut-back options
