Starting Lineup

Rice is good enough to play as a lone defensive midfielder with Bellingham and Foden both playing in the middle to bring creativity. I don’t think Trent adds that much defensively and whilst he has a lot of passing creativity he doesn’t add anything that we don’t already have (apart from maybe set pieces). I think we’re really missing the likes of Rashford/Sterling/Grealish on the left side to make runs in front of Kane but hopefully Gordon can add that. Bellingham and Foden as two attacking midfielders should provide plenty of service for that. A positive is the depth we have on the right hand side with Saka/Palmer/Bowen.
