The surprises:

* Walter Benítez: The PSV goalkeeper is showing a great level in Eredivisie and will start instead of Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa.

* Facundo Roncaglia: The experienced centre-back, former Fiorentina, Genoa, Osasuna, Valencia, Celta de Vigo and current Boca Juniors captain will be the partner of Cuti Romero.

* Esteban Rolón: The Boca Juniors player will be the central defensive midfielder for the Argentine national football team in Qatar. He's often compared to Fernando Redondo for his playing style.

* Juan Ramírez: Another Boca Juniors player. He has the most assists in the current tournament and was the MVP in the last final.

* Giovanni Simeone: The new Napoli striker, former Genoa, Fiorentina and Cagliari, may will start in Qatar. He scored 17 goals in 35 games for Hellas Verona last season.
