Leeds United Formation 2018

Leeds United Football Formation

Creation DateJune 6, 2018

Lineup (3-4-2-1)

Peacock-Farrell · Jansson · Venancio · Ayling · Dallas · Pearce · Forshaw · Saiz · Pablo Hernandez · Alioski · Abel Hernandez

This is Marcelo Bielsa's most used formations and has yielded spectacular results for his previous teams. Venancio was on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last year and did spectacularly, but is interchangeable with Kyle Bartley or Liam Cooper. Ayling played at CB at some stages earlier this year and did well and with his height, he would perform here much like Kyle Walker does for England as a more attacking CB. Dallas has played as a RWB for his country and has done well and Peace should adjust easily to the role. By having one CDM in Forshaw, we should be secure defensively and this also allows Dallas and Pearce to attack more down the sides, as well as allowing Saiz to move around the pitch more freely. Alioski and Saiz can cut in and shoot from their strong foot at any time due to the extra width provided by the wing backs, who can provide crosses for Abel Hernandez in the middle, who will also be supported by Saiz behind him and his ability to sprint onto long balls provided by Forshaw or the defense.
