It's just what would suite England better to have a holding player and let Gerrard and Lampard join in with Rooney. Have Lennon on the wide right with his pace. tell him to knock it past the full back and run past the full back. Joe Cole can come off the left and join in with Rooney and sometimes get in the little spaces in between midfield and defence and influence the game. Rooney can drop short if he wants and lay it off to the midfielders or switch it wide to the wings. Barry anchors the midfield and can even drop into a deeper role alongside Terry and Dawson when our full backs bomb forward(ala Marquez for Mexico). Get full backs to attack on the overlap for Cole, and inside for Johnson. Hart in goal as he's the best keeper we have.
