Mascherano as CB, letting Gago or Banega taking care of the midfield offensive, and also, the implementation of Pastore that will associate well with Messi and all the offensive line.
There arent many offensive midfielders on Batista´s team, that´s why the team lacks of options when implementing mid-forward plays. In fact, there is only one , Pastore.

Zanetti on the right -Zabaleta can go too- can be a very good option form Messi to associate when going forward; Messi would go more to the centre, Zanetti goes forward -like Alves in FCB- and there you have a good offensive option with the square Messi-Pastore-Zanetti-Higuain giving many passes options or 1-2 plays ;furthermore , that will make the other team to move some players to that side , leaving Aguero, Banega and even Zabaleta alone, so that way, the ball can be crossed, creating more plays too.

Very "offensive" defensive line -like FCB too- so the ball will keep moving away from Romero´s goal and dont letting the other team many offensive options. Besides, there is less distance from the SB´s to the offensive midfield, so they dont have to run a lot.
Mascherano , Burdisso and one SB can take care of the other team counter.


This is the main tactic formation. However, Messi can play like a "free-role" player on Higuain place - not like a 9, but a Second Top- and Tevez on the right. But the tactic will be almost the same.
