U.S.A. Formation 2016

U.S.A. Soccer Formation

Creation DateJuly 13, 2016

Lineup (3-5-2)

Altidore · Dempsey · Swanson · Yedlin · Johnson · Cameron · Bradley · Brooks · Jones · Gonzalez · Hamid

The 3-5-2 is a lot more optimized for this roster than the 4-4-2, which has failed us in the past. Hamid is a talented young keeper, and will grow to his full potential. The defensive line consists of two veteran defenders and the amazing younger Brooks, who did well in the 2016 Copa America. The midfield is complex, with reliable names such as Bradley and Cameron in the center. Yedlin is a young, pacy right back (who I've converted forward), and has lots of room to grow. Johnson's experience as a left midfielder in the Bundesliga will make him a powerful offensive weapon. Now, the odd one out I suppose you could say is Swanson. He is very young, but bringing him to the national roster in the center attacking midfielder position will be a great benefit for him, and for us. He'll grow up to be an amazing play maker for the U.S. Last but not least, we have our two strikers. Jozy Alitdore is known to be a beastly terror on the offensive. His size and aggression makes him a comfortable choice for this starting line up, especially along side fan favorite, Clint Dempsey, who has captained the nation team before. Clint Dempsey can arguable be known as America's best striker today. In this squad, he will be a rock to hold together the team.
