Lineup (4-3-2-1)

Ochoa · Moreno · Marquez · Layun · Aguilar · Reyes · Guardado · Herrera · Lozano · Tecatito · Chicharito

Chicharito plays very well as a striker, with his abilities improving as he gets more playing time with Bayer Leverkusen. Chicharito has great headers, which will help the team. Chucky Lozano has played well as a left wing against both Jamaica and Uruguay. He has great speed and can send dangerous crosses to the center. Tecatito Corona has become a rising star with the way he gets around defenders and the way he attacks. He can play well with both legs, which could help him shoot to the goal or send a dangerous cross. Guardado, which is the captain of the team, has great technique and control of the ball and has shown that in all of his Mexico and club games. Reyes will be vital in stealing the ball to begin counterattacks. Reyes defensive experience and earlier midfield experience would be good to put him as a defensive midfield. Herrera can shoot from long distances and can make long passes which would be vital to the team. Layun has also been increasing in his abilities and can also send crosses to the center. Moreno has showed the Mexico fans that he is a very great defender. Marquez might be 37 years of age, but he still has his defensive skill. But with the age, his speed has gone down, and Reyes can help him by receiving passes by Marquez. Aguilar is a fast player and a natural right-back. He can score long-distance goals and has great technique. Ochoa reacts fast to the shots and has a high jump to avoid the balls to go in the net. Despite his little playing time at Malaga, Ochoa has kept on working and has proven to Mexico fans the great goalie he is.
