Lineup (4-4-2)

LBs and RBs - Defense, tighten up to CBs, defend width of penalty area.
Attack - don't overlap, be aware of goal hangers due to possible lack of offside rule.
CMs - Defense - shield CBs. If opposition are counter-attacking, playside CM fill in in front of fullback + slowdown counter. Backside CM in over to middle of pitch in support.
Attack - CMs alternate between sitting in front of CBs and supporting attack. Sitting CM stay back and provide passing option. Attacking CM, support widemen + provide overlap into box.
LM + RM Defense - stay tight to CMs infield + shield FBs if necessary.
Attack - provide width on sidelines, make runs in behind to stretch defense. Option to cut in or cross depending on situation.
CAM - Defense - press opposition back line with striker. press CMs from behind if not paying attention, otherwise provide counter-attacking option.
Attack - drop in between CMs + support widemen during build up, create passing triangles with all players, look for through balls + killer pass, take on opposition. Free roam of field, no fixed position
Striker - defense - press on back line with CAM. Provide counter attacking option.
Attack - make runs in behind to stretch back four, physical with opposition CBs. stay within width of penalty area. More skilled player can drop of back four while CAM runs in behind.
