Di Maria or Rojo can take up the left flank exposed by Higuain in the middle. Lavezzi keeps width and allows Zabaleta to stay back a little further to help cover space when the CB's have to pull over to make up space with Rojo up. Mascherano has to stay back because of weaker defense. Perez keeps possession and connects with Messi dropping back or Mascherano as players fill in Di Maria space if he creates more of a 4-2-4. Can move to a 4-2-3-1 with Perez moving back alongside Mascherano and Messi dropping to AM while Higuain takes up lone forward, and moving allowing space for Messi to burst out of midfield on a dribble and find pass or shot.
